Karla's Party

Head over to Karla's Cottage, where she is having a "What I Love About My Holiday Home" party. She has posted lots of pictures herself, and if you keep scrolling down, she is listing links...so sit back and enjoy the gorgeous pictures & be prepared to be inspired as you take a tour of homes!!!

So...What do I love about my holiday home? Well, I love lots of candles...I love the color combination that I chose for this year - light blue, light green & cranberry!!

I love to have handmade ornaments on the tree.

My home is pretty simple and I like it that way!!The views outside are pretty this time of year...

But mostly, my home is peaceful and that is because the people that live there love one another and understand the true meaning of Christmas and are striving to live daily for the Christ of Christmas. I'm anxiously awaiting having all my family home during the holiday season!!

Holiday Helper Swap

My package from my swap partner, Stefanie, arrived today!!!
It was wrapped beautifully...yes, this is just what I was thinking when I joined the swap...
However, I do not deserve such a nice package, because I'm afraid mine for her did not turn out like my vision for it!
Everything is soooooo wonderful...the colors are great!!

This bracelet was in a bag of tinsel. There is a verse on it that says:
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.'" John 8:12
I love, love, love it!!

Thanks so much Stefanie!

It helped to cheer my day and get me going again! I certainly needed that right now!!

She does not have a blog, but she should! She did a MOST fantastic job!!!

(Why did I not wrap my package nicer??? I will, from now on - promise!!)
I'll post pics of what I sent in a few days.

One man's trash is another's treasure!!

I just want to share with you this window that my husband found at our town dump!!! Isn't it great??? I have been wanting something new to put on the wall in this exact space and here it is! Our dump is fantastic, I can't begin to tell you the great things we have found there & my husband has a good eye for them too!!!

Getting things done...

I'm finally getting a few things accomplished around here. Here's a picture of another Christmas gift tag (I used a few of the items that I won from Analise's giveaway!!!) I couldn't find a decent spot to take a picture anywhere today. It's dreary, rainy, perfect to stay in and mess with crafty things!

I have joined the Happy Miscellany Craft Swap over at Domestic Bliss. I'm looking forward to going through my "stash" and sending off some items, while receiving new ones in return. Should be fun!! Check it out

It's Been Awhile...

I've been a little delinquent in the blogging arena lately...BUT, I have been out and about and visiting my newlywed daughter & son-in-law.

This picture is of the Mackinac Bridge. The trip was gorgeous, as the fall colors in Upper Michigan & northern lower Michigan were at their peak. We had a great visit.

I've been wanting to post pictures of the jar of goodies that I won from Analise's giveaway at SugarSugar. The colors are great and I can't wait to start making some gift tags or banners or something!!!

I've been busy working on Christmas tags and have several packaged up and ready to sell. There are two large and two small in each package. So far I only have enough for my up-coming shows, but perhaps at some point will get some on my Etsy - depends on how ambitious I get :) It seems that lately I've been spending so much time looking at blogs for inspiration, that I fail to accomplish much - but I am REALLY inspired!!!!!
